AUDITION / WORKSHOP
Margaret Jenkins Dance Lab
Monday, July 22, 2019
11am - 4pm
$50 / $35 before July 7
Come join the Margaret Jenkins Dance Company for a day-long audition/workshop including company class, repertoire, and explorations in composition. This is an opportunity to work closely with Margaret Jenkins and her dancers, to learn existing material and generate new movement, interact with one another and receive feedback from Margy and her Company. During the technique class, dancers will learn phrases from repertory, and as the workshop/audition continues dancers will work directly with company members to generate material together and separately, creating solos and working in groups.
“Besides your technical acuity we want to get a sense of your aesthetic,
and your emotional and intellectual appetite to work in this kind of collective
atmosphere. It is hoped that this lively exchange will give you a sense
of how we collaborate with one another toward developing a work.”
- M. Jenkins
Location: Margaret Jenkins Dance Lab
301 - 8th Street @ Folsom, Suite 200, San Francisco
Time: Monday, July 22, 11am - 4pm
Please arrive early to register.

Dancers interested in auditioning for the company must either email your resume and headshot to email@example.com before July 19, or bring a copy of both with you on the day of the workshop. More details will be sent to you upon registration.
