The Margaret Jenkins Dance Company (MJDC) is seeking a motivated and experienced Fundraising Manager (contract position) to support two exciting projects:
-
Post-production fundraising for a documentary film chronicling the legacy of Margaret Jenkins and her process of making work over the past 50+ years.

Touring support locally and aboard for our latest dance production, WHEEL
​
This is a flexible, hourly contract position at $30/hour, ideal for someone who is energized and believes in the importance of art and dance, experienced in arts fundraising, and ready to hit the ground running with a small but passionate team.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement targeted fundraising strategies for both projects, with a strong focus on individual donor cultivation and stewardship

Research and pursue grant opportunities, institutional support, and sponsorships

Collaborate closely with MJDC staff to articulate campaign goals and timelines

Craft compelling appeals, proposals, and campaign materials for both institutional and individual support

Track and report on fundraising progress and deliverables
Ideal Candidate:

Proven track record in fundraising, especially in the performing arts
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
-
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively

Success in building personal donor relationships and securing gifts

Passion for the arts, dance, and storytelling; and a commitment to energizing and revitalizing the importance of arts in our culture
